Last-Minute Indian Outfits in Los Angeles
Wedding on Saturday and nothing to wear? Walk in, and most people walk out dressed in about twenty minutes.
This happens constantly, and it is not a problem. Someone flies in for a cousin's wedding, or the invitation turns out to be dressier than expected, or the outfit that was supposed to arrive did not. We are a walk-in shop on Pioneer Boulevard in Artesia with everything on the floor, and we size most people right there.
No appointment. Nothing to order. You can buy it and wear it that night.
Before you drive over: we are closed on Mondays. Tuesday to Friday we open at 12:15 PM, Saturday and Sunday at 11:15 AM, and we close at 6:45 PM every day we are open. Most of Pioneer Boulevard keeps similar hours, so a Monday trip is a wasted drive across the whole street, not just to us.
What is realistic, by when
Here is the honest version, including the parts we cannot do quickly. We would rather you knew before you got in the car.

What we genuinely cannot rush. Anything made to measure. A custom sherwani takes about three months. Bridesmaid and groomsmen orders matched across a party come from our supplier and take about three months too. If your date is closer than that, do not let anyone promise you otherwise — come in and we will dress the party off the floor instead, which we have done plenty of times in an afternoon.
If you have just flown in
Artesia sits in the middle of Little India, the largest South Asian shopping district in Southern California, roughly 25 miles east of LAX and under ten miles from Long Beach Airport. Plenty of people come straight from Orange County too.

Once you are on the street there is more than clothes — jewellery, sweets, groceries and restaurants, all walkable. If you need to sort a whole family in one trip, this is the place to do it.
What to bring
- The invitation, if you have it. It tells us how dressy to go, which is the question most people cannot answer themselves.
- The shoes you plan to wear, or shoes with a similar heel. Length is set from the shoe.
- A photo of anything you have been sent — what the bride is wearing, what your group is coordinating around.
- Nothing else. You do not need to know your Indian size; we work that out on the floor. We carry XS to 5XL.
What it costs
Most people spend $150 to $250 on a complete outfit. Sarees from $150, salwar kameez from $100, lehengas from $200, gowns $150 to $300, mens kurta pajama $75 to $125, kids $50 to $125. Petticoats, sari falls and dupattas are sold separately with no minimum, so if you only need the one missing piece, that is fine too.
Never worn Indian clothes before?
Then you are exactly who we spend most of our day with, and being in a hurry does not make it harder. Tell us what the event is and we will put things in front of you. A gown is usually the fastest answer — one piece, nothing to drape or pin.
Come in
You do not need to call ahead or book anything. If you want to check something specific is on the floor before you drive, message us and a person will answer, usually the same day.
